1) Shea fruit, that is fallen, is picked, cleaned, dried and husked
2) Seeds are crushed and gently roasted
3) Seeds are crushed again, this time releasing the oil
4) Water is added to the shea oil mixture
5) Mixture is whipped and churned by hand. early-stage shea butter is formed
6) Early-stage shea butter is cooked, strained and left to cool and solidify
