honest & gentle’s Deodorant Paste effectively absorbs perspiration and neutralises body odour. Easy to apply and does not feel sticky, this would be your best day and night companion, wherever you go and whatever you do. It will not stain your clothes.
Unlike many natural deodorants which use baking soda, bentonite clay or kaolin clay as moisture absorbents, we commit to using other absorbents that are gentler on the skin and contain less aluminium, for greater safety. Here, we choose to use food-grade diatomaceous earth as well as tapioca starch.
Anti-perspirants are known to be harmful because of their high aluminium content used to block sweat ducts, and is associated with breast cancer. As honest & gentle’s deodorant paste is not an anti-perspirant, you can use it with an ease of mind.
This also means you will still perspire as your sweat ducts will not be blocked. However, our deodorant comes in to absorb your perspiration and neutralise body odour, while working to keep your pits fresh by minimising bacteria. Without major skin irritants like high levels of aluminium and synthetic fragrance, you can say goodbye to discoloured pits.
The scent is a blend of natural essential oils, giving fruity, earthy and floral hints.
In warmer climates, the paste could be grainy. Shea butter consists of many fatty acids that each melts and cools at a different temperature, at around 30-degree Celsius. This is perfectly normal and does not affect the effectiveness of it.
About the packaging
Each jar comes with an eco-friendly set of a bamboo spatula and cotton drawstring pouch. honest & gentle's Deodorant Paste is easy to carry around and the packaging is designed for maximum hygiene. All jars are sterilised prior to filling with product, which is also made with sterilised equipment.
As this is not a roll-on deodorant, you can say goodbye to dead skin cells and moisture (from your sweat) in your product, which would breed germs.
The amber glass jar is selected for its ability to block light, thus prolonging the deodorant's effectiveness and freshness.

Take a pinch of the deodorant and rub well between your fingers, until soft

Spread evenly on underarms, ensuring a complete coverage

Rub into skin gently, and voila - you are ready to go!

○ Ensure that your hands or spatula are dry and clean before coming in contact with product, as moisture spoils the product faster.
○ Avoid contact with eyes. If irritation occurs, rinse immediately and discontinue use.
○ Everyone’s skin is different. As much as we have chosen the gentlest ingredients, there will be some who may not tolerate a particular one or two well.
